Machine Learning Engineer
Will Beckman is a Machine Learning (ML) engineer at Capital One - a role that combines the more glamorous data science work with the grungier and often under-appreciated data engineering work. Since joining Capital One, Will has worked on numerous projects including an in-house graph database, and a scalable ETL pipeline with Spark. Will now works for the Center for Machine Learning (C4ML), an organization within Capital One that assists with projects using ML across the enterprise.
Will graduated from UMD with a B.S. in Computer Science in 2016. While in school, Will was an avid Terrapin Trail Club member and enjoyed activities such as hiking, camping, caving, backpacking, and kayaking (granola, anyone?)
